Manager at Max Volley Shefford courts - Job Description

To set-up, maintain and operate the 42 courts. This involves adjusting nets and lines daily as well as the ball barriers. Using tractor regularly to maintain sand. Cutting grass/weeds periodically with mower and weed-wacker. Keeping area clean and safe, emptying garbages and other tasks related to the upkeep of the courts.

Set-up will also involve building new courts this year.

Keeping the office/storage tidy and equipment in order.

Supervising the leagues that run at the Shefford courts:

  • Updating/reviewing/fixing schedules weekly
  • reading and replying to emails daily
  • staying in contact with Stephane Maxwell (owner) regularly

Hours:

Sunday to Thursday approx. 1-9pm once leagues start May 19th.

Set-up and take-down hours are flexible, starting the last week of April, weather depending. (take-down of courts is in September)

The first 1-2hrs daily can be at home (league admin, emails ect..) Usually more time needs to be spent at the Shefford courts on Mondays and Tuesdays as the net heights must be changed.

Might be an option to work extra hours for Max Volley Tournaments.

Pay: weekly salary, minimum of 700$ per week.

Requirements:

Good knowledge of beach volleyball.

Preferably has played (or is playing) in a Max Volley league.

Enthusiastic about learning new skills: building courts, driving tractor, running leagues ect.

Attending a post-secondary school in Ottawa. (available to start working in early May)

To maintain and operate the 12 courts. This involves adjusting nets and lines daily as well as the ball barriers. Using tractor regularly to maintain sand. Keeping area clean and safe, emptying garbages and other tasks related to the upkeep of the courts.

Keeping the office/storage tidy and equipment in order.

Supervising the leagues that run at the Franco-Ouest courts:

  • Updating/reviewing/fixing schedules weekly
  • staying in contact with Stephane Maxwell (owner) regularly

Hours:

Sunday to Thursday approx. 4-9pm once leagues start May 19th. Might have to start earlier some days depending on the weather and the condition of the courts.

Might be an option to work extra hours for Max Volley Tournament and for maintenance of the Kanata courts.

Pay: $16.50- $19 per hour

Requirements:

Good knowledge of beach volleyball.

Preferably has played (or is playing) in a Max Volley league.

Enthusiastic about learning new skills: building courts, driving tractor, running leagues ect.

Will graduate from high school this year OR is already attending a post-secondary school in Ottawa.

Sunday to Thursday approx. 3-9pm once leagues start May 19th. Might have to start earlier some days depending on the weather and the condition of the courts.

Might be an option to work extra hours for Max Volley Tournaments and for additional maintenance.

Might be an option to work extra hours for additional maintenance.

Pay: $16.50- $18 per hour
